Corporate Social Responsibility
'Delivering today for tomorrow'
We are committed to making sure that our actions as a business have the lowest possible long-term impact on the environment and society. The principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are fully embedded within our business and are key to a successful future.
Our Goals
In delivering our CSR objectives we have established three overarching goals as listed below. To read more, click on each goal's title.
Within Morgan Est, responsibility for CSR rests with the Head of Sustainability: contact csr@morganest.com.

Carbon reduction
Our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of our offices and vehicle fleet, working with our customers to reduce the impact of our projects.

Waste Minimisation
Generation of waste is a loss of a natural resource and inefficient. Our objectives are that at least
60% of waste generated will be recycled or reused, with an aspiration of zero waste to landfill projects.

We have also signed up to the
WRAP Halving Waste to Landfill commitment, in which companies aim to halve their waste sent to landfill by 2012.
The graph below illustrates how much waste we have diverted from landfill since 2007. The red line indicates this amount as a percentage of the total waste produced during this period.

Working with Communities
We continually interact with our neighbours and the environment where we work.
Through our involvement in community projects, we take part in events such as river cleans (pictured right), school visits and charity events held at our offices and sites.
We are also careful to ensure that our work does not endanger wildlife in areas of special scientific interest.
Through this range of activities and initiatives, we aim to improve the image of Morgan Est and the industry from the perspective of neighbours and employees.

These commitments are detailed in our CSR Policy and CSR Strategy booklet.
