The Opportunity:
The Electrical Alliance Central is one of 6 new Alliances that National Grid established in March 2007. National Grid has signed contracts worth up to £2.5 billion over the next 5 years, to upgrade and develop the electricity transmission network across England & Wales. This is the largest ever Alliance contract for National Grid and represents a significant part of National Grid’s planned investment to maintain safe and secure supplies of energy, incorporating new infrastructure, such as wind farms and other new generation plant, and replacements of existing assets.
National Grid has divided the works into to disciplines; works associated with Substations and works associated with Overhead Lines and Pylons. Morgan Est is currently working in partnership with ABB and Atkins to deliver the work require within the Central Region.
