The Opportunity:
The Pavement Team is a partnering framework agreement originally awarded in Nov 1995 between BAA and Morgan Est for the project management, design and construction of major airfield works at BAA’s SouthEast Airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted & Southampton).
Since November 1995, the team has completed over 120 projects, valued at over £280 million, undertaken at all 4 of BAA’s SE airports. Projects include new stands, asphalt overlays, stand reconstruction and new taxiways and major maintenance projects such as runway resurfacing and taxiway reconstruction. These are particularly challenging due to the need to minimise disruption to the operation of the airport.
The Pavement & Infrastructure Team is a single co-located delivery team with a totally integrated structure with both Morgan Est and BAA personnel reporting to the BAA General Manager.
The Pavement & Infrastructure Team is committed to continuous improvement and lean thinking with a focus on “client value’. Team members have developed excellent working relationships with clients through the mutual understanding of each other’s business constraints.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for the successful financial, technical, safe and environmental completion of the contracts in a timely and efficient manner at the allocated airport
