Safety-conscious staff at infrastructure services company Morgan Est in Sutton Coldfield have chosen Birmingham Childrens Hospital to benefit from a £500 award for their safety-conscious work.
Morgan Est runs a scheme whereby it gives employees at its sites a sum of £500 to donate to a charity of their choice if staff succeed in meeting health and safety targets, as laid out in the companys Safety Excellence Scheme. The latest site to succeed in meeting all its targets is based at Minworth, Sutton Coldfield, where Morgan Est is working on a £500,000 repairs and maintenance scheme as part of its £120m framework for Severn Trent Water.
Jay Standen, project manager at Morgan Est, says staff chose to give the money to BCH because of the hospitals invaluable work for the community. This is the second time Morgan Est staff have chosen BCH to receive funds from the Safety Excellence Scheme, he says. The hospital does incredibly important work for sick children and we know the money will be put to good use.
