Brief Description
Design and construction of 5.2km of new single carraigeway road (9.3m width) linking the Edinburgh City Bypass and the existing A68 at Fordel Mains. The scheme includes a 95m span bridge across the River Esk along with ten other highway structures. There is a grade separated interchange with the Edinburgh City Bypass plus two at grade intersections along the route. Landscaping, accommodation works and works for statutory authorities are to be undertaken. There is provision for extensive grouting of the works.
