Brief Description
Newport SDR involved the dualling of 9.5km of urban carriageway, including at its centrepiece a 187m single span, parabolic bridge across the River Usk. Morgan Est’s use of 95% secondary aggregates within the construction process, was recognised in the Green Apple Environmental Awards, and the UK construction industry’s Quality in Construction Environmental Award and the project team won the Institution of Civil Engineers Award for Teamwork.
