Brief Description
The removal and replacement of off-ramp bridge deck, and cantilever cope to main structure. The existing Kingston Bridge complex, which consists of North and South elevated approach viaducts and main river bridge structures, forms a strategic link for traffic on the M8 in Glasgow. The Stobcross off-ramp, which forms part of the north approaches to Kingston Bridge, links northbound traffic on the M8 with the A814 Clydeside Expressway. Currently, a total of 90,000 vehicles pass over the northbound section of the Kingston Bridge every day, with a total of 7,500 vehicles each day exiting via the Stobcross off-ramp.
